Ryan Alexander, proprietor has accumulated over 23 years of field expertise refining his hunting knowledge and tactics. He is well respected among his peers locally and nationwide. Ryan is also a successful elk outfitter and guide in Colorado during the September bow hunting season. Dale Alexander has over 43 years in the field and 38 in public service administration. He knows and understands the importance of a good solid relationship based on service and trust.
Ryan started going into the field with his Dad when Ryan was only a few years old. By the age of 5 he carried an air rifle plinking Dad’s duck and goose decoys. He learned very early how to respect the great outdoors, guns and wildlife. Ryan was a very good shot by the time he passed his Hunter Education Course when he was 8 years old. He harvested his first deer shortly after that using his Uncle’s crossbow…a perfectly placed 20 yard shot. Ryan was hooked and honed his hunting skills over the next 20 + years to become a well-respected guide and hunter. He is very good at trapping and hunting coyotes as well and has been called to properties to help reduce the ‘yote” population averaging 20 to 30 yotes per year. Ryan also enjoys introducing friends and family into hunting with guns and bows and always enjoys youth hunters coming to UBO for a exciting hunt. He also enjoys waterfowl hunting when he has a chance to get out. An avid fisherman on Lake Erie, Ryan won his first Walleye trophy at the age of 3 turning in an 18” Walleye.

For our hunting leases, UBO practices property and wildlife management. We respect your property like it is our own. If we see something wrong we will let you know. Want us to fix something let us know. Our hunters are placed on stand and picked up to keep the woods quiet and pristine. UBO only hunts the wildlife that is available not the number of days in a season so there are far less days hunted than most other outfitters of lease groups. We just don’t put hunters in area that does not hold the wildlife which means less impact on your property.
Managing the herd
We manage a property to improve the health, buck numbers, antler size and off-spring production of the herd. Only mature Bucks are harvested to ensure a strong population of big bucks for the future. In addition, a higher percentage of sanctuary acreage is preserved for the wildlife only…their safe haven. Does may be harvested depending on the deer population, and in urban areas where the regulations are set forth by the community. UBO also controls coyote and other predatory species that can hurt the deer and turkey populations. UBO spends thousands of dollars on minerals, food plots and corn to attract and hold large numbers of deer on our hunt leases.
